The name tells you how long this blend took to come together. ⏳

Mil Días translates to “one thousand days,” a reference to the nearly three years Crowned Heads spent developing the blend.

The project began in 2017 and reached its final form in 2020. The finished cigar combines an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Peru.

For the visual pairing, I’d build around the blend’s warm presentation:

🪵 walnut wood
☕ coffee and cocoa tones
🟤 dark leather
✨ cream and muted gold accents

A mood that matches a cigar whose entire identity is built around patience.

Sobremesa is one of the lines most closely associated with Steve Saka’s return to cigar blending.

Sobremesa became one of the defining releases of Steve Saka’s Dunbarton To***co & Trust portfolio.

A recent Solita-format expression uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Mexican San Andrés Negro binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and Pennsylvania, produced at Joya de Nicaragua.

The name sobremesa refers to the Spanish tradition of lingering at the table after a meal for conversation. A cultural idea that became central to the line’s identity.

It’s a strong example of a cigar brand being built around both blend architecture and a specific social tradition.

🎃 VIAJE FULL MOON — 13TH ANNIVERSARY

Viaje’s Halloween-season release returns for 2026 in a new 6 × 60 format, offered in both Regular Release and Limited Release versions.

This year’s Full Moon comes in Natural and Maduro expressions, with the Limited Release produced in smaller quantities and presented in a box-pressed format.

Viaje has not disclosed the exact 2026 blend or official tasting notes, but earlier Full Moon releases have featured profiles ranging from wood, pepper, citrus sweetness, roasted coffee, dried fruit, and earth.

A familiar Viaje seasonal release, now with a new anniversary format and a scarcer Limited Edition.

Same Macanudo Café blend packed into one of its smallest traditional formats.

The Macanudo Café Ascots measures just 4⅛ × 32, making it significantly smaller than many of the line’s better-known vitolas.

The blend uses a Connecticut Shade wrapper, Mexican San Andrés binder, and Mexican and Dominican Piloto Cubano fillers. Macanudo classifies Café as mellow and associates the blend with creamy, nutty, woody, and naturally sweet characteristics.

Vitola matters because changing length and ring gauge changes the proportions of wrapper, binder, and filler in each draw, even when the basic recipe stays the same.

This collaboration is as much about the factory as it is about the to***co. 🤝

Oscar Valladares Colaboraciones – Casa Carrillo is one part of a three-factory project introduced for 2026.

The Casa Carrillo edition is a 6 × 52 Toro made in the Dominican Republic with a Connecticut Habano USA wrapper, Sumatra binder, and Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers.

The wider Colaboraciones concept also includes separate interpretations produced by Oliva and Oscar Valladares, allowing three manufacturers to approach the collaboration from their own blending perspective. Production for the Casa Carrillo version was limited to 1,500 boxes.

Same Haunted Bookshop idea…very different presentation. 📚👻

Haunted Bookshop Cake takes the classic Cornell & Diehl mixture and presents it as a pressed crumble cake rather than the familiar loose-cut format.

The blend was created by the late Bob Runowski and named after Christopher Morley’s novel The Haunted Bookshop. Its foundation is Burley and Virginia with a touch of Perique.

Pressing the to***cos together allows the components to spend more time in close contact, creating a more integrated presentation than the original loose mixture.

A good example of how processing and cut can become part of a blend’s identity.

Jason is back. This time as the sixth chapter of Tatuaje’s Monster Redux series. 🎃

Tatuaje Monster Jason Redux 6 revisits one of the brand’s best-known Monster Series releases.

The 2026 version measures 7½ × 52 and uses a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler to***cos. Production took place at My Father Ci**rs in Estelí, Nicaragua.

The original Jason was inspired by the Friday the 13th character, while the Redux program gives Tatuaje a way to revisit earlier Monster releases in their original formats. Redux 6 continues the tradition with coffin-style 13-count boxes and a production run of 5,000 boxes.

Ligero is one of the reasons Serie V has such a strong identity. 🔥

Oliva Serie V is built around Nicaraguan long-fillers, including specially fermented ligero from the Jalapa Valley.

Ligero comes from the upper part of the to***co plant, where the leaves receive more sunlight. These leaves tend to be thicker, richer, and higher in ni****ne than lower primings.

That doesn’t mean ligero automatically makes a cigar “better,” but it can add body, depth, and intensity to a blend.

Serie V is a useful example of how leaf position can shape a cigar’s overall character.

This one already comes with its own mood. 🇮🇹

CAO Italia Gondola draws heavily from Italian-inspired branding and atmosphere, so the best “pairing” here is all about the setting.

Think dark wood, espresso tones, leather seating, warm brass details, and classic café styling.

That visual language fits the name and gives the cigar a distinct identity that feels more old-world and lounge-driven than modern and minimal.
