🚨 MISSING PERSON ALERT 🚨

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking the public’s assistance in locating Joshua West, a missing adult last seen the evening of July 27, 2025, around 7:00 PM at Royal Residential in Pottawatomie County.

Joshua is a 40-year-old white male, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing around 170 pounds, with short dirty blonde hair with gray and a short beard with gray.

At this time, there is no known direction of travel and no clothing description available. His guardian reported that Joshua had mentioned plans to leave and was last seen by staff on the evening of the 27th. He has previously traveled significant distances when leaving without notice, having been located in Oklahoma City, Durant, and even Las Vegas in the past.

If you have any information about Joshua’s whereabouts or believe you may have seen him, please contact our office immediately at 405-275-2526 or notify your local law enforcement agency.

BLACK CARP BOUNTY: There is now a $100 bounty on invasive black carp in Oklahoma. As of now, the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation says no black carp have been caught in Oklahoma — so you could be the first.

These fish eat mussels and snails, threatening native species and ecosystems. They’ve spread through the Mississippi River Basin, and now biologists want your help tracking their movement through the “Keep, Cool, Call” program.

If you think you’ve caught one (including while bowfishing):
✅ Kill it humanely (don’t transport alive — that’s illegal)
✅ Keep it on ice
✅ Take photos of the head/mouth & full body
✅ Record where and how you caught it (GPS is helpful)
✅ Report it:

HISTORIC HANDFISHING WIN: A big congratulations to my buddy Phierce Williams who is this year's Okie Noodling champion. He won both the adult and kids divisions of the Okie Noodling tournament down in Pauls Valley last weekend with this 53.5 pound flathead catfish. At 14 years old Phierce is the youngest to ever win in the adult division. He's from Shawnee and you can follow him, his brothers and dad on their Adrenaline Rush Adventures social media and YouTube pages.
