Today’s cigar is the All Saints St. Francis Colorado a milder version of the award winning St. Francis original blend. It’s a really nice medium bodied, full flavored blend made at Rocky Patel’s Tavicusa Factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. This flavorful cigar can be enjoyed by anyone. Stop in and give it a try.

This afternoon’s cigar is the My Father Ci**rs Jamie Garcia Reserva Especial. Featuring a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, binder from Ecuador and filler to***cos from the Garcia family’s farms in Nicaragua this is a really nice medium bodied blend that delivers notes of dark chocolate, sweetness and a subtle molasses undertone. The strength amps up a tad in the last third of the cigar but it doesn’t reach full strength. This is a blend that can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of their cigar experience. It’s a cigar I would recommend to take your time smoking so that you can enjoy the experience.

This afternoon’s cigar is a sample blend from 2018 that I’ve been aging and trying one a year to see how they age. This blend was great right off of the rolling table in the factory but it’s even better now. Hopefully I’ll be able to have it reproduced and available in the shop in the future. Today’s cigar is the Perdomo 30th Anniversary Maduro Robusto. Come in out of the rain and try this blend that uses to***co grown on Perdomo’s farms in Nicaragua. It sports a 15 year old wrapper leaf aged for 6 months in used bourbon barrels. It’s a cigar that can be enjoyed by the new and experienced enthusiast. The blend delivers notes of cocoa , coffee , a slight sweetness and a subtle spice undertone. It’s a cigar that can be enjoyed any time of the day. Also available in Sungrown and Connecticut wrappers.

Today’s cigar is the Dunbarton To***co and Trust Sobremesa. It’s a straight medium bodied, full flavored blend with notes of vanilla, cherry and some coffee. The cigar features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Mexican San Andres binder and filler to***cos from Pennsylvania and Nicaragua. It’s an extremely well constructed cigar with nice creaminess. It’s definitely a cigar anyone can enjoy.

Enjoying a Foundation Tabernacle Havana Seed No. 142 Toro. While this cigar may look like it is a full strength blend, it’s a straight medium strength cigar in the toro size while the corona size delivers slightly more strength. It has notes of pepper, citrus and an enjoyable underlying sweetness. I’m not sure I’d recommend this blend to a complete cigar novice but if you’ve been smoking ci**rs for awhile I think you would enjoy this blend.

This afternoon’s cigar is the Chateau Fuente Cuban Belicoso Sungrown. A medium bodied blend that uses an Ecuadorian Sungrown wrapper along with a Dominican binder and filler to***cos. The binder and filler are grown on Fuente’s farms in the Dominican Republic. It’s deliveres notes of spice, cedar, nuttiness and a slight vanilla. It’s a pleasant afternoon cigar that can be easily be enjoyed by anyone.

It’s a flavorful medium bodied cigar that can be enjoyed by anyone. Today’s cigar is the AVO Ci**rs Synchro Nicaragua while enjoying the beautiful weather here in Pottstown. This flavorful medium bodied blend is produced by Davidoff in the Dominican Republic using an Ecuadorian wrapper, Dominican binder and filler to***cos from Nicaragua (Ometepe Island), Peru and the Dominican Republic. The blend produces notes of a sweet spice, creaminess , light roasted coffee and a touch of earthiness in the last third of the cigar. This is a cigar that can be enjoyed by anyone whether they are a beginner or have decades of cigar experience.

Saturday throwback tin type picture from late summer of 1900. My great grandfather on the left holding my grandfather and next to them is my 3x great uncle smoking a cigar. I always wonder when I look at the multiple old pictures we have of my family members smoking ci**rs from over a hundred years ago what brands they were. Hopefully one day I’ll find one with a box or an advertisement in it. I just hope they enjoyed the cigar!
