Pelacañas Mexican Rum Single Barrel

Barrel No. 11. Distilled from 100% fresh pressed sugarcane juice. Aged in a 220L French Oak ex-red w**e(2nd fill) cask. Filled on 3/25/25, put in the barrel at 106.6(53.3%) proof. Dumped on 8/24/26. Bottled at 107.2(53.6%) proof. 252 bottles, split between Farmington Liquor Store, 11th Avenue Liquor & Ci**rs, downtowneugeneliquor and us🥃🥃

Bull Run Single Barrels

As if our love of Bull Run Distillery needed anymore proof, here are 4 more picks we were lucky to have the opportunity to select. So let’s get into what they are, shall we?

Bourbon Finished In Hennessy Cognac Casks:

6 year bourbon (75 corn/21 rye/4 barley) that was put in ex-Henny casks for 2 more years. Bottled at 117.44(58.72%) proof. 408 bottles

Cask Strength Rye

7 year rye (95 rye/5 barley). Bottled at 122.94(61.47%) proof. 180 bottles

Cask Strength Rye Finished In A Honey Barrel

A huge shoutout to History Redesigned and Bull Run for this one. A few years ago we did the first cask strength Jack Daniel’s rye pick in OR. A buddy of mine had the thought to take the empty barrel and age some honey in it. After several months the honey was dumped. We then had a “honey” barrel. What to do with it we asked ourselves. And of course we thought “Put wh***ey back into it!” So he contacted Jen and Lee, and because they are awesome, they said they could put rye into it. Almost two years later, here it is. 5 year rye (95 rye/5 barley) with 22 months of honey barrel finishing. Bottled at 118.92(59.46%) proof. 168 bottles

Pacific Rum Aged In Acacia Wood Puncheon

11 year rum distilled from 100% Hawaiian turbinado sugar. Bottled at 119.80(59.90%) proof. 336 bottles

Mater Botanical Rum

Made in Sicily, where sugarcane was once grown quite a bit on the island, by Distilleria Alma Sicilia. A newer distillery that started producing rums in 2021, trying to capture the Modican terroir in a bottle. Their botanical rum is a blend of Sicilian, Trinidadian, and Reunion rums with local carobs, orange peel, cinnamon, and cloves added. Bottled at 82(41%) proof🥃🥃

Lagg Corriecravie

Produced on the Isle Of Arran, Lagg is a new distillery - sister to Lochranza Distillery - that produces peated wh**ky, to 50ppm. The Corriecravie is a limited annual release, aged initially in ex-bourbon barrels then finished for roughly 6 months in Oloroso Sherry Hogsheads from Spain before being bottled at a very nice 110(55%) proof.

Lost Interurban Eagle Rare Single Barrels

We have 2 Eagle Rare barrels from Interurban(RIP) that we’re releasing. We have no idea which are which as the state just put all the cases together when they dropped them off and they were not stickered. So come on down and grab a bottle or two or three. Pour some out for Interurban, then swing by Bantam Tavern to get some food and drink reminiscent of the old spot.🥃🥃

Buffalo Trace Bourbon Single Barrel

Barrel No. 187. Distilled 01/06/18. Aged in Warehouse R - Floor 1 - Rick 3. Bottled at 90(45%) proof. 492 bottles, all 375ml😎 I did ask if they could all be 50ml mini bottles and was told no☹️I don’t get to anything fun or cool with Sazerac anymore so this was the next best thing😁 A thundering herd of little Buffalos!🦬🦬🦬🥃

Goodbye Martinique! The end of our trip to the Lesser Antilles has arrived🥺 Visited several amazing distilleries, ate great food, and shared wonderful experiences with some of the best people you could ask for! I’ll share more in the next few days. Can’t wait to do this again😎🌴🥃🌴

These are the kind of experiences that remind me that I am more than lucky to have a job that, not only do I like doing, that I LOVE doing. Because of trips like this. Learning about the history, production methods, conservation efforts, and just love for rum that Stade’s Rum Distillery has is amazing. The care and effort that goes into the rums they produce really is showcased touring the distillery. Even more so when we get to sample, I mean “research”, the product ourselves😁 And the people involved make it even better. Barbados may or may not be where rum was invented, but I would argue it’s where rums heart is🥃🌴
