I've received several inquiries regarding the recent announcement of the pilot truck stop at the intersection of Highway 81 and I-10. I'm genuinely thrilled about the additional growth this could bring. One of the unique aspects of Holmes County is that, despite our small size, we have two exits, exit 96 and 112, which can provide a significant revenue opportunity for our county. If I'm fortunate enough to be elected for another term, one of my primary goals will be to leverage this advantage. Without some level of growth, achieving success and financial sustainability will be challenging.

Regarding the Busy Bee, I spoke with the owners last week, and they shared that they are currently collaborating with the City and Development Commission and expect to finalize everything within the next 90 days. When projects of this magnitude are being developed it takes a little more time. There are over 80 acres that will be developed on this property.
Once again I want to thank HCDC, City of Bonifay, Town of PDL and everyone else involved. While progress may take time, I believe we will get there—it's essential for all of us to continue working together.
