The Wine
"The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon from Slingshot is all about showcasing ripe, juicy California fruit. There’s some oak influence, but it doesn’t distract or detract from the plump Cabernet fruit. Classic Napa aromas of currant, leather and blackberry are laced with gorgeous overtones of spice, vanilla and anise. In the mouth, the wine is smooth and easydrinking. Its full body pushes the fruit both forward and back into a deep, long finish replete with sweet, polished tannins."

"The 2011 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon was crafted from several of the county’s most prestigious appellations in the Alexander Valley and the Dry Creek Valley. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were blended seamlessly to bring together the unique characteristics of each vineyard, creating a superbly balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine has fresh red plum and blackberry jam aromas and flavors that are supported by caramelized and toasted oak notes. The round, full mouthfeel has just enough structure to lead into a fruit-focused finish."
