Suppressor update: I received an email from AG Austin Knudsen today. In his email he laid out Montanas law regarding suppressors. He did finish his letter with the following:
“Ahead of the 2027 Montana Legislative session, legislation has been introduced to alter or remove Montana’s criminal penalties for possession, manufacturing, or transferring silencers, SBRs, and SBSs.”
That means no more ATF involvement. No more tax stamp, no more wait times.
