George Killian’s Irish Red is an American amber/red l***r with a rich ruby-amber color, a malt-forward flavor profile featuring caramel and toasted/nutty notes, and a mild, smooth finish.

Key Specifications & Details

• Style: Amber / Red L***r (though historically inspired by an Irish red ale recipe)
• ABV (Alcohol by Volume): Around 4.9% to 5.4% depending on packaging and distribution
• IBU (International Bitterness Units): ~14 (mildly bitter)
• Appearance: Deep red-amber or copper hue with a thick, creamy head
• Brewing Origin: Originally based on an 1864 family recipe from Lett’s Brewery in Enniscorthy, Ireland, but brewed in the United States by the Coors Brewing Company (Molson Coors) under license since 1981.

A Recipe for them Cold Nights ❄️

Somewhere between a mug of cocoa and a dessert, there’s this.

Six ounces of hot chocolate, 1.5 oz of Baileys, and a splash of peppermint schnapps if you want it to taste like a candy cane. Whipped cream and marshmallows on top. Five minutes, one mug, no shaker needed.

Want it less sweet? Swap the schnapps for 1 oz of bourbon and you get caramel and oak instead of mint.
