🧛 Vampire Bite Margarita
A dramatic Halloween margarita with tequila, cranberry, pineapple and raspberry, finished with a blood-red grenadine layer and creepy candy garnishes.
🍹 Ingredients — 1 Large Cocktail
2 oz (60 ml) tequila
1 oz (30 ml) triple sec
2 oz (60 ml) cranberry juice
2 oz (60 ml) pineapple juice
1 oz (30 ml) grenadine
½ oz (15 ml) raspberry liqueur, such as Chambord
Plenty of ice
For the Halloween rim
Black decorating gel or melted black candy melts
Black & orange sanding sugar/sprinkles
For garnish
Gummy worms
Candy eyeballs
Pineapple chunks
Orange slice
Maraschino cherry
Optional plastic spider or pumpkin decoration — remove before drinking
🎃 Instructions
1. Make the spooky rim: Run an orange wedge around the rim of a large goblet. Dip it into black and orange sprinkles. Add black decorating gel around the outside edge, allowing several drips to run down the glass.
2. Mix the cocktail: Fill a shaker with ice. Add tequila, triple sec, cranberry juice, pineapple juice and raspberry liqueur.
3. Shake: Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until very cold.
4. Build the Vampire Bite: Fill your decorated glass with fresh ice and strain the cocktail over it.
5. Create the bloody layer: Slowly pour the grenadine down the inside of the glass. Let it settle naturally toward the bottom for a dramatic deep red → orange-red gradient. Don't stir yet if you want to preserve the layered appearance.
6. Garnish: Load the top with gummy worms, candy eyeballs, pineapple chunks, an orange slice and a bright maraschino cherry.
🩸 Extra Spooky Tip
For the dramatic look in the image, use a large clear goblet and plenty of transparent ice. Add a few drops of grenadine over the top just before serving to create extra “blood” streaks through the ice.
🍹 Party Pitcher — 6 Servings
Combine 12 oz tequila, 6 oz triple sec, 12 oz cranberry juice, 12 oz pineapple juice and 3 oz raspberry liqueur in a pitcher and refrigerate until cold.
Pour over ice in decorated glasses, then add 1 oz grenadine individually to each drink so every cocktail keeps its layered appearance.
