The little white Smurf is showing his little piggies again! This is a progression of shots, starting Friday morning (10/23/26) when the water was lapping against the bridge to this morning (10/30/26). It shows how quickly the water is receding.

The new power pole is standing and the boring is progressing. These guys are working long hours and kicking butt! I don’t know if it will be done today, but soon, all the businesses on E Pagosa St will be energized!

They are clearing out the muck and debris under the 1st St. bridge. They did this before the flooding last week and now they’re at it again to give the water a wider path to flow. We don’t know how much water we will get with this next storm so we’re preparing for the worst.

Lots of activity in front of the River Center. Summit Ski & sports is drying out their boots.

The crews were working today to remove the dirt (muck) that was in excess before the bride and under the bridge. The plan is to rebuild the rip rap wall to prevent any more damage to the embankment.

The hippie dip is starting to reappear and The Springs is moving right along with their cleanup. The water is clearing out. Yay!

LPEA is going to erect a new pole on higher ground, across hwy 160, to the transformer behind the River Center. Their goal is to have all the business energized by Friday, 10/30/26, but it may not happen that quickly.

Work has started on running the new lines underground. When asked if they were going to finish by Friday, 10/30/26, they said that was the goal but nobody I spoke with sounded very confident in reaching that goal.
