It's getting ugly up in Sobik's Subs of Sanford, at least when it comes to potato chips.

Now available: Uglies® Kettle Chips are crafted from Upcycled* potatoes with slight imperfections – potatoes that are the wrong size or shape, have varied colors or the wrong sugar content for some manufacturers. Some might be slightly blemished, and some may just be farmer surplus, too, but just to be clear, the potatoes we use are NOT diseased, rotting or unripe. They just need a little extra TLC!

Some chips in the bag may have cosmetic challenges, but they’re all delicious, and beauty is in the eye of the chip holder!

A little rough around the edges, Uglies are more than a great tastin’ snack – we support farmers, reduce food waste and help fight childhood hunger!

Sobik’s Subs is celebrating 55 years of service to the Central Florida Community.

Since 1969, Sobik’s has been a big part of the Orlando area. We were one of the first to bring New York style deli subs to the region in the late 1960s. In the 1970s, Sobik’s was one of the first sub shops to franchise. In the 1980s, we were one of the first sub shops to offer Cuban Sandwiches.

Pick up today’s copy of My Sanford Herald to learn more about Sobik’s Subs, why our steak & cheese subs are the best, why Sobik’s constantly does community outreach, why Sobik’s is now expanding again through franchising, and even learn about the once mighty “Sobik the Elephant” at the Central Florida Zoo.
