Help us support the local food pantries through the months of May and June!

We have placed change boxes at the registers at Rubacks Food Center and Avoca Food Land. When you check out, you can place your spare change in the boxes. Whatever money is raised in those boxes, East Pottawattamie County Farm Bureau will match that amount in another donation to the food pantries at the end of the event. For example, if we raise $25, Farm Bureau will donate another $25 to the food pantries.

We hope you participate, and we appreciate your support for the local food pantries!

The City has experienced several sewer main blockages recently due to residents flushing “flushable” wipes down the toilet.

Even wipes labeled as “flushable” do not break down properly in the sewer system and can cause serious clogs in household plumbing, sewer lines, pumps, and treatment equipment. The only thing that should be flushed down a toilet is toilet paper.

Our City workers work hard to keep your water and sewer systems running properly. Do your part to help protect your pipes and prevent costly backups.
