Private events at CoCo Noir have always been about more than wine — they’ve been about community, culture, celebration, and creating space for us to gather in joy. 🤎✨

As we enter the final seven weeks of CoCo Noir Wine Shop & Bar, I wanted to share a beautiful private event we hosted this past Sunday with the incredible team behind the Black Joy Parade for their volunteer appreciation celebration.

Thank you to the founders, staff, volunteers, and the entire Black Joy Parade team for choosing CoCo Noir to host such a meaningful gathering. It was truly an honor to pour into the people who pour so much into our community.

Even as CoCo Noir approaches its final days of operation, my support for Black Joy Parade will continue. As an individual, I absolutely plan to volunteer and champion the parade for 2027 because our communities need spaces that celebrate Black joy, culture, creativity, and connection.

I encourage everyone to sign up, support, and volunteer. Let’s help make Black Joy Parade even bigger and better in 2027. ✨🖤

It’s been one week since I shared that CoCo Noir will be closing on July 5.

I just want to take a moment to say thank you. The amount of love, support, messages, and people showing up has truly meant everything to me. 🤍

We’re focused on finishing strong and making these final weeks special. This weekend, we have:
• Live music
• Chef pop-ups Friday & Saturday

We have about 7 weeks left, and I’m committed to celebrating this space, this community, and everything we built together.

Please come by, bring your friends, and continue to support—we’re going to enjoy CoCo Noir all the way through the final days 🍷

I wanted to take a moment to share this segment from KPIX News about CoCo Noir.

First, I just want to say thank you. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, supported, commented, shared, and shown love during this time. It truly means more than I can express. 🤍

This has not been an easy decision. I didn’t want to close my business. I built CoCo Noir with intention, with sacrifice, and with a deep love for my community here in Oakland. But due to ongoing economic challenges and the realities of operating a small business in this environment, I’ve been forced to make this difficult decision.

Our final day of operations will be July 5.

We are still open and would love to see you:

* Thursday: 5PM–9PM
* Friday & Saturday: 5PM–10PM
* Sunday: 3PM–8PM

Please come out, have a glass, bring a friend, and support us during these final weeks.

I also want to say this—if there is anyone out there who is serious about helping with strategy or has real solutions to help sustain this business, I am open to having those conversations. Please feel free to DM me or reach out directly.
