Make Dad a cocktail he's sure to love for Father's Day!

Classic Old Fashioned

Ingredients

2 ozs Wheel Horse Bourbon
3 dashes Angostura® Bitters
Pinch of raw sugar
Luxardo Cherry to garnish
Orange Twist

Directions

In a rocks glass, muddle the sugar and bitters. Add ice, then pour the bourbon on top. Stir gently to mix. Squeeze orange twist over the drink then drop Luxardo Cherry into glass. Enjoy.

Ingredients

1 1/2 ounces Gosling's Dark Rum
5 ounces ginger beer
1/2 dash lime juice

Directions

Combine the ingredients in a mixing glass. Pour over ice in glasses and serve immediately.

Spring Street Winery Cabernet Sauvignon has a medium plum color to it. This Paso Robles Cabernet expresses violets and cassis aromas with ripe black cherry. The palate is supple with fleshy and leathery tones unfolding with distinct ripe black cherry, huckleberry, dark roast coffee bean, and integrated vanilla. The finish is full of silky tannins from the French oak as well as the concentrated mouthfeel of low yielding Paso Robles Cab grapes used to make this fine wine.

Make Dad a cocktail he's sure to love for Father's Day!

Whiskey Sour

Ingredients

2 oz. Cooper's Mark Bourbon
¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
¾ oz. simple syrup
orange wheel
Maraschino cherry

Directions

Combine bourbon, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until outside of shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds. Strain cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer or a slotted spoon into an old-fashioned or rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with orange wheel and cherry.

Rascal Pinot Gris has lovely aromas and flavors of apple, pear, nectarine, and lemon zest, this is a smooth, easy drinking Pinot Gris, yet it doesn't lack character, as some can tend to. We'd drink this over some offerings that are twice the price. This is a great summer sipper or pairs well with a lot of foods off the grill. And if you needed another reason to buy this wonderful wine, a portion of each sale of Rascal wine goes to local dog rescue organizations and shelters.
