This wine originates from Umbria, often referred to as "the green heart of Italy." When we mention Orvieto, we picture a beautiful walled city built on a tuffstone mound by the Etruscans, known in Roman times as Urbs Vetus (the old city). It is also celebrated for the prized white wine of the region, with Bigi being a leading producer for many years.

The grape varieties used include Trebbiano Toscano (Procanico), Grechetto, Verdello, Malvasia Toscana, and Drupeggio.

The wine presents a straw-yellow color and features a subtle nose with fresh, fragrant hawthorn blossoms, along with hints of musk and almonds. The taste is tangy and rounded, smooth yet lively, finishing with clear and pleasing notes of white peach.

Food Pairing: This wine pairs well with starters, fish, shellfish, eggs, and fresh cheese.

Their recent national study shows that while younger consumers are drawn to eco-friendly wines for personal health reasons, older and more frequent wine drinkers are motivated by environmental concerns. Yet, across all groups, the top reason remains the same: to support the farmers and producers behind these sustainable wines.

It's rewarding to see this growing movement reflect the values I’ve long believed in and built into the way I curate every bottle.

A fantastic addition to our cellar! This exceptional wine is the perfect gift for any wine enthusiast. The Finca Gran Rodma vineyard is a prized location, spanning 34 acres of land situated 2,132 feet above sea level. Here, the thick-skinned Tempranillo grape thrives, benefiting from high climate exposure and significant temperature fluctuations that contribute to the production of high-quality wines. The vines, which are 30 years old, have been selected for their aromatic freshness, balance, and elegance.

The grapes are harvested by hand and aged in French oak barrels for 20 months, followed by an additional 18 months in the bottle. The 2019 vintage showcases a beautiful red garnet color. It presents a complex and persistent aroma with notes of ripe red fruit, liquor, violets, and subtle spices. On the palate, it is powerful, full-bodied, and fleshy, with a well-structured profile characterized by a long, elegant finish with sweet tannins.

The label features an eagle and a trout, symbolizing the natural cycle that maintains perfect harmony in the heart of the Duero Riverbank.
