Here’s a quick screed on all that “Wine” you grab at the grocery store because it’s cheap and convenient. Most every wine in grocery are macro-brands made by a handful of mega corporations and “Wine” is a loose term for many of these products. Why you ask? Because these products are typically packed with chemicals used pre-harvest and additives such as sugar and mega-purple after the harvest. This process is used to take cheap, substandard grapes and make them into something that most people think tastes OK as long as it’s cheap.
Why should you care? Well, there are endless alternatives of great wine that is made naturally, tastes great and isn’t expensive. The best example in the entire market right now is pictured above. This is a Cabernet Sauvignon from Spain, made organically without additives. It is delicious. It is also a full Liter size bottle (33% larger than most 750ML wine bottles). And it costs under $10. This should be your house wine at home and you should buy it by the case while it is so inexpensive and then you won’t be tempted to grab an inferior bottle at the grocery store 😆
Come and grab a bottle or a case, or if you live in Norman we can deliver it to you. Order on our website, our APP or call us here at the shop. Cheers! 🍷
