What a beautiful beer! Pivotal Brewing Company's PIVO-tal Czech Pilsner is crystal clear, bready, and bright with a snappy Saaz hop finish. I enjoyed one at the Bristol, RI taproom yesterday and enjoyed it so much that I cracked a can of it today! It's the perfect beer for a heatwave.

The classic is back! The latest iteration of Thomas Hardy's Ale is brewed by England's Hepworth Brewery and marks a return to form. Brewed off and on since 1968, older vintages are quite collectable since aging is encouraged (the current 2024 version's label suggests that it will be best if consumed by 2034). This English Barleywine pours nearly still and exhibits notes of dried fruit, caramel, toffee, to***co and honey. Delicious as a nightcap or around the firepit, this vintage is a winner.

Two great IPAs from Trillium this week. First up, Juice Tiger, a collab with Other Half Brewing Company featuring Citra, CIT Quantum Hop Extract and El Dorado hops. And despite the can art, it contains no actual fruit, vegetables or tiger.
Also just in: DDH Scaled. The double dry-hopped version of this fan favorite.
