📢 Important Announcement, Update, & Promo: 💯 It’s no secret we have been MIA. This has taking over a week to write, so please bear with us. We wanted to take a moment to update our friends, family, and community here.
🙏 My wife, Teresa, has been facing some significant health challenges over the years with her disabilities and severe anemia, but this month has been extremely critical. Teresa has been in and out of the hospital and we almost lost her twice this month already. This could have been a very didn’t post and the thought of that is just terrifying.
🤧 She is now somewhat stable and has ungone several procedures, surgeries, and battling some serious health issues. She will be requiring weekly treatments, infusions, injections, and scans now to keep her body functioning, active, and for the foreseeable future. To make matters harder, after her last hospital stay, she has developed two blood clots, one traveling to the lungs and concidered a “pulmonary embolism” causing for her to return. Given this she is now on heavy blood thinners to resolve the clots and any others not-seen forming. Due to this medication, she now is not a candidate and cannot have the other two surgeries needed (one minor and one more major and causing heavy bleeding) for several months. Furthermore, this medication is causing havoc on her body and worsening her severe anemia. Her last stay alone she needed 4 units of blood (via blood transfusion) to keep her alive. Her body is so weak that she is now requiring PT and OT support on top of all of the other doctors and treatments. It has been overwhelming. She just helped Kayla and I get through our two year long health battles and surgeries, just to be fighting again. 😭
💪 During this time, Teresa has shown immense strength and perseverance, but the road to recovery has been extremely hard on her and our five children. We have been helping her fight, making major lifestyle changes, and have been MIA.
