We are beginning to get into the thick of the legislative season in Oregon, and there are a two key initiatives you need to be aware of that will impact your business if passed in the House and Senate:



House Bill 2528-

HB-2528 seeks to give the Oregon Health Authority wide ranging authority to impose bans or other expansive regulation on ni****ne and to***co products. The proposed authority granted to OHA in this bill is very broad and could have a crippling impact on retailers across Oregon if OHA decided to enact bans on to***co products with limited legislative oversight. Any decision of that magnitude should be made through proper legislative channels, allowing for public participation and input.

Senate Bill 702-

SB-702, a full flavor ban across all to***co categories, will be heard before the Senate Committee on Early Childhood and Behavioral Health next Tuesday,

March 4th at 1:00pm. We all know what an impact this will have on all of business. We need everyone’s help and efforts to oppose SB-702.
