Autocase by Impact Infrastructure

Autocase by Impact Infrastructure Impact Infrastructure automates cost-benefit analysis for buildings and sites by bringing the pillars of sustainability analytics into design.

Autocase is the first software solution to automate Triple Bottom Line (TBL) Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA). Owners and Designers use Autocase to cost-justify smarter building and infrastructure designs for their clients, investors, or the neighboring community. Leveraging TBL-CBA, Autocase combines project specifications with industry-validated data to measure the dollar value of financial, social a

nd environmental impacts in terms of total net present value, return on investment, and project payback. Results can be broken out by stakeholder group to facilitate communication of project design benefits. We are so proud to have developed a new free social equity & environmental justice tool — The Building EJ Tool.

It was built in partnership with HOK, Stantec, Jacobs, Quinn Evans, DLR Group, the AIA large firm round table, and with guidance from members of NAACP’s Centering Equity in the Sustainable Building Sector, and NOMA.

It brings the right data into one place, provides an interactive social equity framework to be used on building projects, and bridges the gap between design teams and community advocates to foster productive relationships.

You can use the tool here for free!: https://www.ejtoolkit.com/

We look forward to this being used to better account for social equity on projects, and can't wait to hear your thoughts.

This EJ toolkit provides the data, resources, and framework to identify pressing issues and document your journey to accounting for more equitable design.

It’s an honor to be collaborating with KPMB Architects and the United Church of Canada/Kindred Works on this transformational approach to redevelopment – inclusive of both profit and public benefits. Our SaaS products and team of Economists specialize in the valuation of social and environmental impacts to real estate and infrastructure, and these projects provide our team with a diverse array of benefits to account for. As compared to a traditional redevelopment, this approach preserves heritage buildings and revitalizes neighbourhoods, adds affordable housing supply, and invests in community spaces and high-performance sustainable design elements such as zero on-site carbon, Passive House Certification, mass timber framing, and living green roofs. These design elements drive social and environmental impacts we’ve been able to value to support the development team in their planning, reporting, and engagement activities. We’d love to see this hybrid approach used more broadly.

Real estate firm Kindred Works plans to renew facilities and house 34,000 people over the next 15 years in new rental apartments
