Ah, spring has sprung, and greenpointers en masse are migrating to McCarren with hard seltzers and beers in hand.

But what if I told you that you could be drinking restaurant quality fresh fruit vodka and tequila seltzers instead of the usual cans that, let’s be honest, the whole friend group is getting bored of.

This week at Duke’s

This Thursday Claire from Pollinator Spirits will be pouring her flagship honey finished rye and a very special single barrel bourbon in addition to one of her remarkably delicate gins.

On Friday we’ll be tasting a blanco and a Reposado Agave spirit from South Africa. Sango is black owned, and drinks like your favorite tequilas. Come taste them neat and in a cocktail!

This week at Duke’s we have two more amazing tastings you won’t want to miss!

Thursday 2/27 6-8pm we’ll be opening three fantastic bottles of Sake. One of them is an unfiltered rose with Sakura flowers! Are you ready for spring yet??

Friday 2/28 6-8pm we’ll be opening three fantastic expressions of Aquavit hailing from the state of Michigan! If you’ve never had Aquavit before, you had better go and change that ASAP. Friday, perhaps.

TASTING THURSDAY 6-8PM

Three awesome Italian wines this week at Duke’s!

Ronco Calino Franciacorta Brut- Champagne Method sparkling wine from Italy! This is 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir. Fermented in French Oak barrels and aged on the lees for 30 months, this wine gives most Champagne a run for its money. It absolutely rips.

Marta Valpiani Bianco- Elisa Mazzavilani and her mother Marta Valpiani make excellent wines in Romagna, IT close to the Adriatic Sea. Elisa is also a very gifted visual artist and paints the label designs for all of their wines. This white wine is 100% Albana and is loaded with stone fruit and sea salt tones.

Burzi Barbera d’Alba- Alba is a small town in Piedmont where siblings Alberto and Caterina Burzi make excellent wines. This Barbera is bright, fruity and light on its feet. Perfect afternoon or pre-dinner charcuterie wine.
