🔥It’s getting hot, all right! 𝕭𝖆𝖓𝖉𝖔𝖑 hot!🔥
This powerful, age-worthy rosé is complex, compelling, and lip-smackingly delish. And we have a trio of vintages for you to explore! If Dom Tempier is your benchmark, Ch Canadel is still a classic Bandol style, but with a bit more linear freshness from its higher elevation and limestone soils.

✨These were available this week to our newsletter subscribers at a discount, but we still have stock for those of you eager to bring some oomph to your rosé.

➡️ Don’t miss out on the next opportunity, though, sign up 📝 ASAP at the 🔗 in bio!

We’re all in on Oregon in general, but we were blown away by the unique and wonderful wines of Golden Cluster, a rare domestic producer in the amazing portfolio of GK Selections. Founder Jeff Vejr will join us on the mezzanine at 6pm on Wednesday, June 11 to debut these very special wines. Link in bio!

Years ago on a vineyard tour with Barnaby Tuttle of Teutonic Wine Company, Jeff was brought to the David Hill Vineyard & Winery in Forest Grove, Oregon to see the “old-vine” Sylvaner and Chasselas that Barnaby sourced. While walking the vineyard, Mr. Vejr noticed some huge vines and inquired as to what they were. The answer was Semillon––as fate would have it, Jeff’s first white wine love. To know that one of the oldest vineyards in Oregon had 48-year-old Semillon vines in it was a shock to him. Planted by Charles Coury, one of the Willamette Valley’s founding growers, it inspired Jeff to start the Golden Cluster project and imagine an alternative view of Oregon beyond Pinot Noir dominance.

We’ll taste Jeff’s Semillon, Chardonnay (a favorite of ours from a multi-clone field blend), Gamay, Syrah and Cabernet Franc in this fascinating class spotlighting an exciting new producer working with some very old vines.

Jeff’s work with these more obscure varieties allows him to source fruit from incredible old vineyards and perform painstakingly slow elevages, all while providing incredible value. Jeff will join us on the mezzanine at 6pm on Wednesday, June 11 to debut these very special wines.

We’ve had requests to ramp up our New Zealand content, and what better way to go deep on New Zealand than with a visit from one of its most iconic winemakers? On Thursday, June 5 at 6pm, winemaker Blair Walter of Felton Road will join us on the mezzanine to show off his benchmark wines and tell his story. Grab your ticket at the link in bio!

Felton Road released their first vintage in 1997 and have since developed an impressive reputation both in and outside New Zealand over the last three decades thanks to the singular vision of Blair Walter. While the winery is best known for its single vineyard expressions of Pinot Noir, Blair’s limited production Chardonnay and Riesling wines are equally exciting, and we’ll taste them all together.

Fast forwarding to present day, the winery remains committed to sourcing fruit from only estate vineyards and everything is hand-picked. Since 2002, the vineyards have been managed organically and biodynamically, with their four vineyards eventually receiving full certification in 2010 by Demeter. Their aim is to promote a biodiverse ecosystem in their vineyards through the planting of cover crops which are kept in check by the herd of goats that call the vineyards home and their choice to naturally fertilize the vineyards with a clutch of chickens foraging among the vines.

Seating is very limited for this exclusive seminar. The cost of this seminar is $40 and a $20 credit at the store will be extended to each guest for a future purchase. We hope you can join us on Thursday, June 5 at 6pm on the mezzanine for this very special event.

*Winemaker Class Alert* Mac Forbes, iconic Australian producer, will be landing at Flatiron Wines!!

On Monday, May 19, we’re thrilled to be hosting Mac Forbes on our mezzanine. This winemaker is known for his world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Link in bio!

Mac Forbes was born and raised in Victoria’s Yarra Valley. Born in the 70s, he grew up when the modern history of the Yarra Valley was beginning. Today he’s travelled full-circle to be a part of the next generation responsible for injecting renewed vision and vigor into the Valley.

Mac has worked in a broad range of jobs within the wine industry in Australia, France, Italy, Portugal and Austria. In his home terroir, Mac focuses on mainly Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernets from the Yarra Valley as well as German-inspired Rieslings from the Strathbogie Ranges. Intent on doing things his way, Mac’s passion for discovering and understanding the nuances of the Yarra Valley has resulted in a strong focus on farming and the improvement of both soil and vine health.

The cost of this seminar is $30 and a $20 credit at the store will be extended to each guest for a future purchase. Seating is limited and special pricing on the featured wines will be made available only to attendees. We hope you can join us on the mezzanine at 6pm on Monday, May 19 for this special evening.
