For the first time ever, federal election monitors are at the polls in all 50 states.
The Justice Department is sending about 1,000 monitors and observers out today. It calls this the largest monitoring effort in its history. Places on its list include LA, Chicago, Maricopa, Fulton, Harris, Miami-Dade, Philadelphia, Detroit, Manhattan and Brooklyn.
If something happens at your polling place:
🚨 Violence, threats or intimidation: call 911 first, then report it on Citizen
🗳️ Other problems: tell the election officials on site
📞 Voting rights complaints: DOJ hotline 1-800-253-3931
In line when polls close? Stay in line. You can still vote.
