Wisconsin Free Fishing Weekend is June 6-7!

Wisconsin residents and out-of-state visitors can fish state waters without buying a fishing license, trout stamp or salmon stamp. ALL other fishing regulations, including bag limits, size limits and species restrictions, remain in effect.

Don't have a boat? No worries, some of the best fishing spots in Rome are accessible right from shore:

* Walden Park - located on 9th Avenue just north of County Rd D. Park amenities include picnic tables, benches, kayak/SUP Rentals and a kayak launch.

* Lake Arrowhead County Park - located at the west end of Lake Arrowhead on 15th Avenue. Park amenities include a public beach, public boat launch, and a kids playground.

* Lake Camelot County Park - located on the southwest side of Lower Camelot Lake, off Apache and 10th Avenue. Includes a public boat launch.

* Twin Lakes Park & Devil's Elbow, both located on County Rd Z, would be considered more "rustic" spots with only street parking available.
