What an incredible Kentucky trip 🥃

Huge thank you to everyone who hosted us, welcomed us in, and made this experience so memorable.

From picking barrels at the Heaven Hill Distillery , to finally meeting Ryan Cecil from Pursuit Spirits and getting to pick a barrel with him, to meeting Zane from New Era Whiskey™ & Social Club and having him host us and even let me drill my first barrel… every part of this trip was unreal.

These are the kinds of experiences you remember for a long time, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to make them happen.

And none of it would’ve gone as smoothly without Good Vibes Transportation . They took care of us throughout the trip and made getting around Kentucky easy. If you’re ever planning a bourbon trip and need transportation, definitely check them out — they’re tagged in the post.

This trip was also just a small glimpse of what’s coming.

A lot of exciting barrels, releases, and projects are already in motion for 2027, and we can’t wait to share them with you guys.

🥃 A very special GlenAllachie drop at Needham Center Fine Wines.

We have a limited number of GlenAllachie bottles in the shop that were hand-signed by Billy Walker just a few hours ago during his visit with us.

What an incredible guy to spend some time with. We got to talk whiskey, the future of Scotch in the American market, how the category is evolving, and where he sees the whisky world heading next. I only wish we could’ve kept him here longer, but with a schedule like his, there were plenty of other accounts waiting for him.

Since he wasn’t going to be able to meet everyone, I made sure he signed every GlenAllachie bottle we had in the shop.

So while supplies last, you have a chance to pick up a Billy Walker hand-signed GlenAllachie bottle at regular retail pricing.

No crazy markup. Just a very cool bottle, signed by one of the most respected names in Scotch whisky.

🥃 MIDNIGHT YIELD HAS ARRIVED. 🌙

Our newest River Roots Single Barrel is finally here, and just look at that color. I mean… isn’t it gorgeous?

And thankfully, the whiskey inside is every bit as good as it looks.

“Midnight Yield” marks the first release of our Night Series and the third label in our overall Day & Night Series of private barrels.

This one is a monster, but in the best possible way.

On the nose: toasted caramel, toffee, burnt sugar, roasted nuts, oak, dill and baking spice.

On the palate: waves of toasted caramel followed by subtle peanut notes through the mid-palate, roasted nuts, cherry and darker fruit, dark chocolate and an herbal character toward the back.

Then comes the finish… long, warm and lingering. At 130.32 proof, you definitely get that Kentucky hug, but the proof carries an incredible amount of flavor with it.

What I’m really excited about is seeing how this bottle evolves after it gets some air. There’s already so much going on here, and I have a feeling it’s only going to get better with time.

The Night Series has officially begun. 🌙🥃

🥃 Black Maple Hill 6 Year Small Batch Bourbon has landed at Needham Center Fine Wines!

A good amount of our allocation has already gone to members of the Shared Spirits Whiskey Society, but we still have some bottles available for the shop. Once these are gone, we don’t know when we’ll see more, so come grab one while you can.

Black Maple Hill is one of those names that longtime bourbon drinkers will immediately recognize. The brand has built a cult following over the years, and this 6 Year Small Batch brings that classic, old-school bourbon character at 95 proof at a price that makes it an incredible value.

Our tasting notes: Rich caramel and toffee lead the nose, followed by a hint of spice and some subtle fruit underneath. The palate follows right along with that classic, old-style bourbon profile. Rich, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. Even at 95 proof, it has a surprisingly long presence, sitting on the palate and lingering well after the sip.

For the price, we think this is an incredible value and absolutely worth trying.
