The pokemon ball hunt is back šŸŽ‰! Get ready to go on the hunt again this September 26th! Hopefully this time it wonā€™t be so hot šŸ˜….

This year the event will just be for one day instead of two. Also it will not be downtown anymore as we have moved locations. The hunt will now take place in the lakeside area.

Please note that while kids are definitely welcomed to join in on the hunt, this is not a kid level event. This is more aimed at young adults/adults because we need events to have fun too.

A registration form and waiver will be posted at a later time this week so please be on the lookout for that because both are needed to participate. If you canā€™t fill out the forms online, you are more than welcomed to stop in the store and register in person. Forms must be filled out by September 25th.

ā€œPaying for something I can do/make at homeā€ is a comment I get that makes me laugh a little bit every time I see you. You canā€™t please everyone, thatā€™s a well known fact. I knew Geek Lounge wasnā€™t going to be for everyone and thatā€™s completely okay. But it is for some people and I really wish people understood that just because something isnā€™t for you doesnā€™t mean itā€™s not for anyone and you donā€™t have to spread hate against it.

Iā€™m only human and itā€™s only natural to want to defend my small business constantly but I just try to let comments of that nature roll right off my back cause at the end of the day thereā€™s no need for me to focus on the hate when thereā€™s so much support coming our way.

I appreciate every single one of you who understand the concept of Geek Lounge and appreciate our effort in trying to bring something like this to Muskegon. Those who excitedly talk to me about anime and how theyā€™re excited to try some of our products because they can never find it anywhere and now they have somewhere to come and get it. Also the people that say they feel like they finally have somewhere to go period because they donā€™t really have much of anywhere else to hangout.

At the end of the day, Geek Lounge is for those that get it. And for those that donā€™t and could just make it at home, youā€™re more than welcome to make it at home.
