Some douchbag sh*tbird went into the tasting room today and asked if we were the governor’s winery and they were told no. Then he proceeded to steal several of our table signs in the courtyard. This is literally why we can’t have nice things. F**k you, dude. We hate you.

And at the Tasting Room this eve, Newsome Harlow will be hosting a book signing along with Books On Main to celebrate local boy Nick Triolo and the release of his new book, The Way Around. This will start at 6pm in the courtyard.

TWO events this evening!! The first is a Winemaker Dinner at Alchemy. Tonight we’ll be pouring the 2023 Viognier and the 2022 Syrah. Two lovely wines, both grown on The Dalton Ranch in Calaveras county!

What is the impact of the cooler weather on the 2025 harvest? Scott Klann sez…

“Grapes like we grow in the foothills are absolutely thriving so far this growing season. Zinfandels, Syrahs, SB and many other varietals love it when it’s very dry. And love it even more when the summer temps are in the 80-95 degree range during the day and the 50-65 degree range at night. We have spent more than 92% of this growing season parked right in those sweet spots! I believe the phrase we are looking for here is…cautiously optimistic about the 2025 vintage.”

Oh hai Michelle Morozinski. Our newest, freshest face in the TR. She’s a local legend - skied her way into elite status on the Bear Valley Ski Team and after a few years at Bret Harte went to the exclusive Sugar Bowl Academy. Limited engagement at NH as she returns to college to finish her nursing degree this fall. Come bask in her radiant smile and snarky sense of humor.
