🍺 Hillary's Brewery Pick of the Month: Ayinger – Tradition, Flavor & Bavarian Craftsmanship
This August, we’re proud to spotlight Ayinger Brewery as our Brewery of the Month! Nestled in the 1,200-year-old village of Aying near the Bavarian Alps, Ayinger has been perfecting the art of brewing since 1878. Combining six generations of brewing expertise with sustainability and local ingredients (including water from an Ice Age aquifer!), Ayinger represents the best of German brewing tradition.
This month’s featured lineup is steeped in flavor and history:
🔸 Altbairisch Dunkel (Old Bavarian Dark Beer)
Toasty, dark, and satisfying—this traditional Munich-style Dunkel offers rich maltiness with notes of bread crust, subtle coffee, and a hint of fruitiness. A smooth, full-bodied beer that pairs perfectly with hearty dishes like pasta with meat sauce, smoked sausages, or a warm loaf of bread.
🔸 Bavarian Pils
This crisp, golden German Pils is clean, dry, and refreshingly bitter. It pays homage to its Bohemian cousin while proudly standing on its own. Brewed with the mineral-rich waters of Bavaria, it's a lighter beer with a snappy finish—perfect for summer sipping.
🔸 Brau-Weisse (Hefeweizen)
Pale, effervescent, and bursting with aromas of banana and clove, this wheat ale is brewed with suspended yeast, just like the traditional tonics of old. Its bright, refreshing body and soft spice make it a must-try on warm days. A go-to for fans of flavorful, aromatic beers.
🔸 Oktoberfest Märzen
Golden, rich, and slightly sweet with a medium-full body, this classic Märzen was brewed in March and lagered for months to be ready for fall festivals. Notes of malt, a touch of sweetness, and a smooth finish make it the ideal pairing for pretzels, schnitzel, roast pork, and all things Oktoberfest.
Swing by and celebrate these award-winning brews all month long. 4-packs now on sale for $12.99! Prost! 🍻
