Worth the wait. 🍷

We’ve been anticipating this exact flight for months. Originally planned for April, these absolute gems from Le Piane got caught up in some classic international shipping nonsense—but they have finally arrived, and trust us, they are spectacular.

Tomorrow, we are diving into the magic of Boca (Alto Piemonte). The story of Le Piane is one of pure passion: in 1988, Christoph Künzli fell in love at first sight with this unique, hilly terroir and the legendary local wine-grower Antonio Cerri. He stayed to revive the region, creating wines defined by profound elegance, deep aroma, and serious character.

Because of the incredible pedigree of these bottles, tomorrow’s tasting is $10—and it’s worth every single sip.

✨ Tomorrow (Wednesday)
⏰ 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
💵 $10 tasting

Come taste the wines that wouldn’t be stopped by a little shipping delay.

See you there!

Before they were the dream team behind the Larder, they were just a bunch of small-batch originals! 🍼

These photos are proof that while we’ve aged like fine wine (and maybe a nice cheddar), our moms have been the “main ingredients” since day one.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women who raised this wild crew! ❤️

If you’ve been following our menus lately, you’ve likely noticed the Chicken Roulade making a few guest appearances—but it’s never quite the same dish twice. 🌀

We’ve come to think of it as a seasonal time capsule. Arlen spends the better part of his day deboning, flattening, and hand-rolling each one, tucking a different world of flavor inside every time the weather shifts. It’s a dish that requires a lot of patience, a little culinary alchemy, and a “genius concoction” for the filling. Watching these savory pinwheels hit the table was easily our favorite part of last week, and we’d love for you to have a seat at the next dinner coming up.

Our menus for the next three Thursdays are live and ready for you to explore; they are already booking up fast, so we recommend grabbing your table soon if you’re planning a visit.

And for those looking for something truly special, we have just a couple of seats left for the Le Piane Wine Dinner on May 28th before we’re fully committed for the evening.

Cheers to May! 🍷

I’ve been having so much fun putting together this month’s lineup. If you know me, you know my favorite thing about wine is the sheer diversity of it—the way a single bottle can tell a story about a specific corner of the world or a tradition that’s been alive for centuries.

This May, I wanted to curate a series of tastings that are all about discovery. Whether you’re a regular at the shop or looking for your new favorite bottle, I can’t wait for you to try these.

Here is what’s happening every Wine Wednesday from 4–6 PM:

May 6 | Club Preview: I’m opening up the vault! We’ll be tasting through our newest Club selections (and yes, that includes the cheeses).

Free for members / $5 for guests.

May 13 | The Magic of Greece: Seriously, have you ever had Greek wine? These are so special and deeply rooted in tradition—think amber wines, Retsina, and incredible salinity. They are crisp, soulful, and so, so good.

May 20 | The Best of Baja: Our friend and local importer Patrick Neri has been championing Mexican wines for years, and for good reason. These bottles are sophisticated, delicious, and will totally change your perspective on North American terroir.

May 27 | A Taste of Le Piane: This is the one we’ve been waiting for. If you missed out on tickets for our paired dinner the following night, this is your chance to taste and buy these highly sought-after wines from a tiny, almost extinct AVA in Piedmont.

Special $10 tasting due to the high-end nature of these pours.

The Fine Print:
✨ Member Perk: Wine Club members join the first Wednesday of every month for free!
✨ Stock Up: We love your support, so we offer 15% off 12-bottle cases during all tastings for everyone.

Which one are you most excited for? See you at the counter! 🥂
