His vision helped preserve that connection for generations, creating a place where fans and visitors could celebrate Andy’s remarkable legacy in comedy, Broadway, film, television, and recording.

Emmett understood that Andy’s story was more than a career, it was a story of friendship, family, hometown roots, and a journey that began in Mount Airy and reached audiences around the world.

Through the museum and his dedication to preserving these memories, Emmett helped ensure that future generations could experience and appreciate the remarkable life and legacy of his lifelong friend.

There is a new Sheriff in town! Also, we might have a new Deputy for the time being ❤️ "Parker" is a local boy riding his Squad Car through Wally's today! 😁 We also have little "Andy" I'll give you one guess who he is named after!? 💙 These kid's are going places.

Aunt Bee stopped by with some goodies! All kinds of fresh jelly, apple butter, Carmel pecan apple butter 😍 pickled jalapeno eggs, pickled sausages, fresh peaches, honey, even some really yummy pineapple salsa 😋

Join us Saturday, July 4 for the Mount Airy Fourth of July Parade as we commemorate America's 250th anniversary.

Beginning at 11:00 a.m. from Veterans Memorial Park, the parade will wind through Downtown Mount Airy with patriotic floats, community groups, music, and hometown pride.

Celebrate our nation's past, honor those who have served, and enjoy a tradition that brings our community together year after year.
