🍄🟫 The Infamous J*p-Chae Recipe! 🍄🟫
Thank you to the lovely Janet who has been filling the gap with her delicacies while Young La (Flavors of Asia) is on break. Here is her recipe of Mushroom J*p Chae!
If you don't know, this colorful stir-fried noodle recipe blends sweet potato glass noodles with a vibrant mix of vegetables, seasoned perfectly to bring comfort and joy now right into your home!
Ingredients: (swipe for the ingredients you can find at Meadow Mart!)
8 oz (225g) Ottogi sweet potato starch noodle, soak in water for 30 mins to 2 hours
1 tablespoon canola oil & 1 tablespoon soy sauce
8 oz (225g) Ananda Gardens onion, slice thinly
4 oz (113g) Ananda Gardens carrot, cut into matchsticks
4 oz red bell pepper, cut into thin strips
4 oz green pepper, cut into thin strips
8 oz (225g) mushrooms (sh*take, button, king oyster)
4 oz (113g) Ananda Gardens baby spinach leaves or Chinese chive
For sauce:
4 tablespoons Kikkoman's Kitchen soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice wine or cooking wine
2 tablespoons sugar or agave syrup
1 tablespoon sesame seed
2 tablespoons sesame oil
Preparation:
1. Drain the water from soaked noodles and cut them into 4-5 inches long. In a medium bowl, add noodles and 1 tablespoon oil and 1 tablespoon soy sauce, mix well.
2. Medium size heavy bottomed wok shape pan or pot, layer with onion, carrot, red and green pepper, mushrooms, and prepared noodles. Cover with lid.
3. Turn the heat on to medium and start to cook. When the steam starts come out, about 5 minutes, uncover the lid and add spinach and mix with tong.
4. Add sauce and mix well and garnish with sesame seeds.
