We opened in 1991 as Monterey's original British Pub. We’re serving a British dish served in a British Pub by British Owners. (Would you go to In "n" Out for Sushi ?)
Our fish is b**r battered, not breaded. Most importantly, we use Icelandic Cod, (as used in Britain for over 2 centuries.)
What makes Icelandic Cod so special? It comes from the very coldest deep waters which gives the fish a thicker, flakier, whiter fillet which has a unique flavor to the discerning palate. Not snapper, rock cod, or Alaskan cod, which are all great fish, but not the best for traditional British fish & chips.
