Customer Service Representatives.
The Customer Representative will use cash registers, electronic scanners, and related equipment to conduct monetary transactions with customers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Greets customers as they enter the location.
• Accepts money in the form of cash and credit or debit cards for items purchased.
• Assists customers with questions.
• Ensures accurate transactions by balancing cash drawer at the beginning and end of shift, and sales at the end of shift.
• Ensures proper handling of cash and verification of Safe Drops.
• Identifies prices of products and services and verifies delivery bills with vendors with available equipment.
• Assists customers in locating various products, resolving complaints, or providing information.
• Offer bag for products.
• Maintain a tidy and organized work environment, particularly at the checkout area, to enhance customer experience and ensure operational efficiency.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines, including, e.g., proper lifting techniques, ladder safety, and other store related safety programs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, or scanners.
• Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change.
• Completion of cashier training (e.g., in cash handling, POS systems, or customer service).
• Knowledgeable about All American Stores company’s products and services, and customer-related policies.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods standing and working on cash register or related equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at times.
• May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
