BREAKING: A farmer in Millville, Cumberland County, New Jersey, reportedly carved a giant message into his farmland so everyone flying overhead can see exactly what Millville thinks about data centers trying to move into Jersey farmland.
The message appeared after Millville voted to block what would have become one of the largest proposed data center projects in New Jersey history. The massive facility was reportedly planned at more than 2.6 million square feet and was projected to draw enough electricity to power over one million homes, while also requiring huge amounts of water for cooling infrastructure.
As concerns continue growing across parts of New Jersey over farmland disappearing, rising power demand, and water usage tied to massive server facilities, many residents across Cumberland County say they’re relieved the proposal never moved forward.
The farmer stated, “New Jersey farmland isn’t for sale. Those data centers can go F off.”
Now, this Millville farmer is making it loud and clear exactly what Millville thinks about data centers moving into New Jersey.
