Public Notice: Our Gift Cards Will Expire October 31
If you possess a McKinney W**e Merchant gift card you should use it by Halloween as the program is scheduled for cancellation then. The last cards were issued in December. Demand/usage has waned but monthly service-fees continue. This message augments signage posted at the store most of this year.

One for the cellar. 100% Sangiovese (as are all Brunello) coming from a 20 acre vineyard. Rated 97 by James Suckling and 96 by everyone else. Despite its rarity, acclaim and being presented at the lowest price in the US by $10 as far as I can tell (K&L, SF is $130) it should be here for a while bc of where we are. 5 bottles on hand

I just learned that for, like, the 12th - or 13th - year in a row, readers of the McKinney Courier-Gazette voted McKinney W**e Merchant as the Best Place to Buy B**r, W**e & (of late) Spirits. Didn't know I was on the ballot and certainly didn't campaign so, thanks. Runner up was Spec's who, incidentally, welcomes many, many more customers per day than do I.

Introducing two, new sparkling w**es: To the Left - Jean Bailly Cremant de Alsace 'Grand Cuvee" nv ($45); eight years(!) in tirage, 50/50% Chardonnay/Pinot Noir - - - To the Right - Paul DeThune Brut Rose Grand Cru nv ($80); Madame DeThune was referred to the store by a wonderful customer and I selected this Rose' from her bag of legit-'growers' Ch*****ne. Comprised of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay.
