STORE UPDATE:
Hi, Will and Amy here! We’re excited to announce we are the new proprietors of the Marion General Store. First, we want to thank Jack Cheney and his family for the love and care they’ve put into the store for the last 52 years, and for helping us transition the store into a new era.
A few curious folks have already spotted us at work inside the store, and we’ve even heard a few rumors about ourselves! We know the community is eager for information about what’s next, so we want to introduce ourselves. We are sailors and farmers who love historic preservation. Amy is a baker and writer, while Will is a full-time maritime professional.
We know how important the general store is to the Marion community, so rest assured we’re working hard behind the scenes to reopen as quickly as possible this summer. The store will remain closed while we settle in and get organized, and we promise to give you more updates in the coming weeks. With such a rich history, we aim to embrace everything that’s made the store great over the last several decades while also bringing new offerings to the community.
