Liberty Fuel in Marengo is hiring a Part-Time Kitchen Cook, and we'd love to have you join our crew! 😎

We're a growing local business with a great group of coworkers who genuinely enjoy working together. We take pride in keeping a clean, positive workplace where people enjoy coming to work.

Here's what we're offering:
- $12–$16/hour, depending on experience
- Flexible 4-hour shifts
- 2–5 days per week (approximately 8–20 hours)
- Morning and daytime shifts available between 4 AM and 4 PM
- No late nights

What you'll be doing:

Preparing hot food, stocking kitchen inventory, tracking waste, taking phone and online orders, keeping the kitchen clean, and making sure our customers leave happy.

Experience is helpful, but not necessary. We're happy to train the right person! We're looking for someone dependable, friendly, and willing to pitch in wherever needed. 💪

Weekend availability is required, but we're flexible with scheduling and want to find hours that work well for you.

Heads up for TODAY - Monday, October 5!

We have some big upgrades happening at Liberty Fuel today. Here’s what you need to know:

We ARE open for breakfast until 9:00 AM, but will be serving breakfast burritos only.

The store will close at 9:00 AM while we complete storewide software upgrades and some HVAC upgrades in our kitchen.

The kitchen will remain closed for the rest of the day.

🌮 La Monarca Food Truck will be here for lunch!

⏰ We’re planning to reopen the store around 5:00 PM — hopefully earlier if everything goes smoothly.

🚻 Restrooms and the ATM will remain available all day.

We appreciate everyone’s patience while we get these upgrades done. We’ll get the doors back open as soon as we can!

Alissa and Joanie have put TONS of work into getting the foundation set for the future and are ready to hand the reins off. We're looking for someone who's organized and enjoys working with people. Previous food service experience is not required.
