It was an absolute pleasure to meet Ilaria Tachis from this afternoon! Class, elegance, energy and passion that very few people are cultivated enough to have. Can’t wait to visit her in Florence and visit her winery, but also museums together! 2019 vintage in stock, the rest soon to follow. The definition of fine wine made with patience and care. True art 🍷

Weekend drop 🫶🏻🤘🏻😎🍹🍸🍻

Grape Republic Nanyo Cider – Japan
From Yamagata’s natural wine pioneers comes this expressive cider, naturally fermented with indigenous yeast. Tart green apple, citrus peel, and a subtle funk bring a layered, fruit-forward experience. Unfiltered and unfiltered in character.
750ml | Dry | Wild-fermented cider

Tiê Cachaça Silver – Brazil
Distilled in small batches from fresh-pressed sugarcane juice and aged briefly in stainless steel. Fresh, grassy, and vibrant, with notes of green banana, white pepper, and a touch of sea breeze. Makes a stellar Caipirinha or stands tall on its own.
700ml | 42% ABV | Artisanal

Zinacantán Papalometl Mezcal – 2024 Limited Release
Crafted in Puebla from wild Papalometl agave (Agave potatorum) using traditional ancestral methods. Deeply smoky with balanced minerality, roasted agave, and wild herbs. A one-time-only release for 2024. Named in honor of the indigenous town of Zinacantán in Chiapas, though made in Puebla.
750ml | Wrapped | One-time release only

Biodynamic, innovative, creative and pioneering with unique talent and skills, very grateful to meet and chat! I thank Philip for the invite and the whole family for the hospitality and support. Special shout to our girl, Erin, whom we miss very much and it’s always a treat catching up with her! We wouldn’t be where we are without her guidance and advice!

Fresh drop, fresh energy.
We’ve got alpine reds, natural Malbecs, and two stunning new bottles from Cruse Wine Co. that might just steal the show. Come explore some of the most vibrant, food-loving wines in the shop right now. Natural, delicious, and full of life, just the way we like it.

1. Alta Heights – California Alpine Wine
Red Blend, California
This chillable red from the Sierra Foothills is built for laid-back sipping. Think wild berries, piney herbs, and cool mountain air in a bottle. Light-bodied with alpine soul. A campfire classic.

2. Cruse Wine Co. Valdiguié 2023
Napa Valley – Rancho Chimiles
The grape once called “Napa Gamay” gets its moment here—bright, fresh, and juicy with cranberry, cherry skin, and wild violets. Think Beaujolais with California swagger. Serve it cool and pair with anything salty or fried.

3. Cruse Wine Co. Sparkling White Zinfandel 2023
Mendocino – Balespoint Ranch
Forget what you think you know about White Zin. This is dry, pét-nat style, and seriously elegant. Wild strawberries, lemon zest, and a fine bead of bubbles. Beach wine, brunch wine, celebration wine—your new go-to.

4. Los Caracoles Malbec – Mendoza, Argentina
A natural Malbec with a twist
Light, fruity, and a little wild. Bright berries, soft tannins, and just enough grip to remind you it’s still Malbec. Great with a chill, a sunset, or your favorite street food.

S**E!!!

You thought we would get without their Barolo?!

MANZONE BAROLO 2020
Piedmont, Italy | 100% Nebbiolo | DOCG
Structured, elegant, and made with intent—this Barolo delivers deep notes of dried cherry, rose petal, leather, and earthy spice. Aged to express the terroir of Monforte d’Alba with precision and soul.

Powerful yet refined, this is the kind of wine that rewards patience—but also stuns in the glass today with a good decant.

Pair with: Braised short ribs, truffle pasta, or aged Parmigiano.
Drink now or cellar—it only gets better.

This week in our search for quality wines in a cost effective way. This is a trio from Italy that punches well above its weight. No fluff—just three bottles with stories, character, and guts.

Manzone Langhe Nebbiolo 2023
This isn’t Barolo, but damn if it doesn’t flirt with it. Wild cherry, dried rose, and a trace of that dusty road vibe you get walking through Piedmont in fall. Clean tannins, bright acid—perfect for roasted lamb, mushroom risotto, or just a solo night with a decent playlist.

Contrada C 2022 – Terre Siciliane
Bold, brooding, and unashamed. 15% ABV and drinks like it’s carrying secrets. Nero d’Avola and Syrah from Sicily, full of dark fruit, black pepper, and a savory finish that doesn’t quit. This is for grilled meats, fire pits, and people who like their wine with a little danger.

Manzone Rossese Bianco Riserva 2022
The sleeper hit. Indigenous Piedmontese white grape—zippy, textured, and slightly herbal. Think lemon peel, almond skin, and a mineral backbone that cuts through creamy pasta or fresh cheeses like a hot knife. You want something different? This is it.

All three now on the shelf—limited stock. Come find your new favorite.

Two new bottles just landed that speak louder than most! Verha Rosso (2024) and Verha Bianco (2023) from Basilicata.

They’re raw, unfiltered expressions of place and people; made by Elena Fucci and local growers in Barile, where the land is rugged and the stories run deep.

“Verha” means “wine” in Arbëreshë—the old Albanian dialect still spoken by the community that’s been there since the 15th century. As an Albanian, there’s something grounding about sipping a wine tied to that kind of survival and tradition.

The Bianco (100% Sauvignon Blanc) is clean and lively, with notes of citrus peel, green herbs, and wildflowers. It’s built for that first sip after a long shift. Pair it with grilled shrimp, lemony pasta, or anything with a little salt and fat.

The Rosso is juicy and earthy, a young red with some grit. Great with sausage, roasted eggplant, or just a good conversation. Serve it slightly chilled and let it do its thing.

Dry-farmed, minimal intervention, and full of character. Wine with dirt under its nails.

Ciabot Berton Barolo “Roggeri” 2018

Origin: La Morra, Barolo (Piedmont), Italy

You want to taste the beating heart of Spain? Crack open a bottle of Vivanza from Alicante, a sun-soaked corner of the world where wine culture runs deeper than the Mediterranean. Each bottle prowls with attitude (just look at that lion) and brims with the grit of old vines brought roaring into modern times.

La Alberquilla Blancos 2021
A crisp, coastal breeze in a bottle. Think fresh citrus cutting through the Spanish heat, ready to cool off your soul.

La Alberquilla Tinto 2019
Smooth and bold, like a late-night jam session with good friends. Satisfying in that “two-more-glasses-please” way.

Doña Josefa Verdit 2021 (Sauvignon Blanc & Chardonnay)
A rebellious little hybrid—crisp, fruity, and with just enough roundness to keep you guessing.

Don Carlos II 2019 (Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot)
A moody blend that demands respect. Ripe, dark fruit on the nose and a finish that lingers like a secret you’re dying to tell.

Don Carlos III 2021 (Tempranillo)
Spanish heritage in a glass. Earthy, dark-berry goodness and a hint of spice that smacks you awake.

No fluff, no tourist traps, just unapologetically Spanish wine with soul. Pair them with hearty dishes, late-night conversations, and a thirst for something real. Salud!
