Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
DON'T TELL ANYONE.
We are beyond geeked to be joining forces with Cecelia and the TWO SLICES crew to bring their delicious treats (and much more !) to the 'Stee. This has been in the works for months. Did Manistee actually keep a secret this long ? (Hard to believe)
"What's taking so long ?" you ask.
There is a lot going on under the hood at Scoobys.
(But TBH we are also waiting for some parts, but they're on the way)
Scoobys is a short-order diner; a deli with grab-and-gos (including salads); a hard and soft serve ice cream shop complete with 1950's soda fountain; and also a full service beer/wine/package liquor store with a bar (Wait, can they do that ? YUP).
Almost 100 different wines at retail (and no Boones farm or box wine in sight). An expansive selection of curated liquors. Baked goods. You need donuts ? Sweet rolls ?
You want FRIES with that ? How about Jicama fries ? (You can google that if you need to)
This ain't your dads 7-11.
We will have nearly 200 with-meal beverage options and food options ranging from the Two Slices sandwich menu to gyros, authentic Al Pastor tacos, Chicago Italian Beef and PASTIES as well as fresh deli items, breakfast and gobs of other specialized treats.
Oh sh*t. We forgot to mention BBQ ! Smoked brisket, pulled pork, rotisserie chicken.

And a drive thru.
Oh. And KEGS. Did we mention KEGS ?
THAT is what is taking so long.
We know that you've been patiently waiting. There are a lot of moving parts here. We wanted to be open by now too ... but we'd rather be ready than not.
We're planning to be here for a while.
Thanks for giving us the time to do it right.
In 2017, I purchased 719 Kosciusko Street and opened Two Slices.
Now, eight years later, I am closing Two Slices.
Thank you to my family, friends, and this community for trusting me, encouraging me, and showing up for me. The relationships I’ve built through this work are an incredible privilege. I feel lucky every day that so many have let me and my team be part of your lives.
But hold on... this isn't goodbye! You can't get rid of me or my sandwiches that easily.
I'm super excited to share that I’m joining the Scooby’s and Milwaukee House crew, and I’ll be bringing my team along as we step into this next chapter together. I can't wait to welcome you to these new spaces and continue serving this amazing community.
