Well the verdict is in and these are masterpieces!
2024 D20 - 20% bourbon barrel-aged stout, double barrel-aged for 1 year, then cellared for 20 months.
• After trying this in October 2024 I said “this is good, but needs 2 years in a basement”. Well we’ve done most of that work for you and the results were fantastic. While cellaring doesn’t affect the abv, it certainly allows the boozy taste to mellow so other flavors can rise to the top. Still a sipper that lets us know it is undeniably 20%, you take your time with gold label. With a sexy dark red hue, this is a bourbon drinker/beer nerd’s dream
2025 D20 Silver Dragon Edition - 20% double bourbon barrel-aged stout with Indonesian and Madagascan Vanilla Beans, then cellared for 8 months.
• After trying this in 2025 i said “this is one of the best stouts I’ve ever had”. In opposition to the 2024 version, this guy was 100% ready to drink fresh, but has still improved with age (one of God’s true gifts to heavy beer fans). In addition, Silver drinks much more like a stout than its counterpart. The body is bigger, the liquid is richer, and the booze, though still mighty, is perfectly cut by the vanilla at just the right moment.
