Merry Christmas and Thank you to you all! We miss seeing you at all of the different locations but have loved seeing you out and about in town and at Moore's 460. Thank you so much for you kind words, sincere support of our decision and patience as we work out the hotdog recipes in such a massive quantity. We just got a new batch of slaw and hot chili in, hopefully this one is closer the recipes we love. This is a work in progress, for sure! We look forward to 2023 and the continuation of our new adventure!

Hi Everyone! Moore’s Country Store here…

Yes, it is true. We sold our gas stations to the Express Lane Group, HEAS Energy. We are getting out of the fuel business and going back “to our roots” - the Hot Dog business. Yes, the Moore’s Coleslaw and Moore’s Chili will still be available but at more locations now, very soon.

Express Lane will be keeping Moore’s Hot Dogs and most of our other food at all of our previous locations. They will be adding your favorites from them to the menu as well. They will also be available for caterings.

Moore’s Hot Dogs will actually be in some of the Express Lanes throughout Lynchburg and the surrounding area over the next several months. The first stop being the Madison Heights Express Lane – the most requested location for our Hot Dogs. So while it is a sale, it is also a partnership.

David and I will still be in and out of ALL the stores.
Our focus will be back at Moore’s Mt. Athos and expanding our brand throughout Virginia. You can order our chili spice packs at www.moorescountrystore.com. Lots of people are making our chili at home now and using it in other recipes as well. I love hearing their new ideas with the chili spice.

Thank you, Thank you for your business and your trust in us over the years and especially the friendships that have evolved. We are not leaving you, we are just readjusting our sails for a new adventure. We look forward to seeing everyone at ‘ole Moore’s or in and out of Express Lanes. This is a good thing for all of us. Let’s be kind, let’s be patient and let’s be supportive of each other as we go through this adjustment. Express Lanes success with Moore's and Moore's success with Express Lane benefits the entire community. We Can Do This!!!

Happy March!

We are looking forward to hopefully warmer weather, spring flowers, sunshine and spring activities.

Thank you for your patience with the hour adjustments at Graves Mill. We are going to extend the hours a little Monday thru Saturday at Graves Mill. Sunday will stay the same for now but we hope to be able to open a little earlier soon.

We will start these hours Monday, March 7:
Monday thru Friday 5:20am - 8pm
Saturday 6am - 8pm
Sunday 10am - 3 pm

Don't forget to join us at Thomas Terrace, Boonsboro, Waterlick, Graves Mill for Corned Beef and Cabbage on Thursday, March 17...
