A ban on smokable h**p in Texas went into effect Tuesday, and Lufkin businesses saw immediate effects overnight. Shop owners saw sharp drops in revenue and uncertainty about compliance with the new regulations. Edibles and h**p-derived beverages remain legal, but flower and pre-roll products are not, thereby removing a major inventory piece for local retailers. To all of our friends and family of The Smoking Joint 🤍

Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve received a lot of questions, and we want to keep everyone informed. Due to upcoming changes, we will be removing all THCA flower, extracts, and pre-rolls from our shelves.

From now until closing on the 30th, we’ll be running increasing sales on all THCA flower—so be sure to stop in and stock up while you can.

We are actively working on bringing in new products that meet the updated regulations, and we’re committed to keeping our shelves stocked with quality options for you. Please don’t be discouraged—we are hopeful this situation is only temporary. Many individuals and businesses (including us) are working hard to fight this.

There is currently a lawsuit in the works, along with a potential injunction that could make a big difference. We recently attended a meeting in Austin, and while things are still developing, there is hope. We’re being asked to sit tight, with more updates expected sometime after the first.

Edibles, dog treats, tinctures, and drinks will still be available!
