💨 Light northeast winds around 6 mph will become easterly this afternoon. Bay waters should remain mostly smooth.

🐟 Fishing reminder: Texas flounder season is now closed through December 14, with a daily bag limit of zero. The season reopens December 15.

One thing we are truly blessed with at Baffin Bay Convenience Store is some of the sweetest customers and the most amazing employees! ❤️

Our customers aren’t just customers, they’re part of our little family. And our employees? Well, they’re a special kind of crazy, but we wouldn’t trade them for the world! 😂❤️

From aliens invading the store to our crew showing off their Halloween spirit, there’s never a dull moment around here! 👽🤣

It’s the laughter, friendships, hugs, and everyday craziness that make this little store so much more than just a convenience store.

Thank you to our wonderful customers for loving us, supporting us, and putting up with our shenanigans! And to our employees, thank you for your hard work, big hearts, and for keeping this circus running!

Well, well, well… looks like Pirate Joe finally got arrested! 🤣

Apparently, stealing boats, terrorizing the staff, and being a general pain in our asses finally caught up with him!

Unfortunately, nobody told him Halloween costumes don't count as actual jail time. 🙄

We're currently refusing to post bail. The peace and quiet around here is worth more than the bond! 💀🏴‍☠️🤣

💙🌊 BAFFIN BAY IS MORE THAN JUST WATER. IT’S OUR HOME. 🌊💙

I encourage everyone to take a few minutes and watch this powerful PBS documentary, Water Wars.

This video shows what can happen when a community comes together, puts differences aside, and stands united for something bigger than ourselves.

Baffin Bay isn’t just a place on a map. It’s where generations of families have made memories, where parents taught their children to fish, where livelihoods have been built, and where friendships have lasted a lifetime.

When our bay was threatened, our community didn’t sit quietly. Fishermen, business owners, fishing guides, conservationists, scientists, and everyday citizens stood shoulder to shoulder to protect what we love.

We didn’t all have to agree on everything. We just had to agree on one thing: Baffin Bay is worth protecting.

And together, we proved that even a small community can make a BIG difference!

But our responsibility doesn’t end with one victory. Protecting this beautiful bay requires us to remain informed, involved, and united.

I am incredibly proud of this community and every single person who spoke up, attended meetings, asked questions, and refused to let our voices go unheard.

This isn’t about politics. It’s about protecting our home, our heritage, our livelihoods, and the future of Baffin Bay for generations to come.

Because at the end of the day, we may be a small community, but when we stand together, WE ARE A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH! 💪💙

At this point, we’re not even sure how many Joes work at BBCS. We’re just thankful they all share the same mustache! 😂
