The new trio of wines is en route from .cose!
With the 2023 vintage due to be released in 2026, Champagne Cose has collaborated for their wines with Flavien Nowack, Antoine Bouvet and Thomas Perseval.
🍾Champagne Cose - Perseval “La Pucelle” - Meunier from Chamery
You’d think it funny that Thomas would release even a barrel’s worth from his 2.5 hectares in Chamery, but so is the charming nature of Gil & Victor of Champagne Cose. Meunier plays a large part of that small plot of land for Perseval, but his dedication to farming is such that a little goes a very long way. Two out of the three Cose releases from the 2023 vintage are Meunier - alongside one from Nowack - and you’d expect the Perseval to be the brighter, more structured and floral. Just a shade over 1600 bottles made for the 2023 vintage!!
Negociants are no longer just defined as massive houses that produce millions of bottles each year; in the case of Champagne Cose, it is just a few barrels per year, filled with gorgeous wines from meticulously-sourced grapes within top vineyards owned by good friends. “We have no land,” says the Mexico-born Gil, “But we buy from growers who see Champagne the way we think of Champagne.”
