The new trio of wines is en route from .cose!

With the 2023 vintage due to be released in 2026, Champagne Cose has collaborated for their wines with Flavien Nowack, Antoine Bouvet and Thomas Perseval.

🍾Champagne Cose - Perseval “La Pucelle” - Meunier from Chamery

You’d think it funny that Thomas would release even a barrel’s worth from his 2.5 hectares in Chamery, but so is the charming nature of Gil & Victor of Champagne Cose. Meunier plays a large part of that small plot of land for Perseval, but his dedication to farming is such that a little goes a very long way. Two out of the three Cose releases from the 2023 vintage are Meunier - alongside one from Nowack - and you’d expect the Perseval to be the brighter, more structured and floral. Just a shade over 1600 bottles made for the 2023 vintage!!

Negociants are no longer just defined as massive houses that produce millions of bottles each year; in the case of Champagne Cose, it is just a few barrels per year, filled with gorgeous wines from meticulously-sourced grapes within top vineyards owned by good friends. “We have no land,” says the Mexico-born Gil, “But we buy from growers who see Champagne the way we think of Champagne.”

It’s pretty much that time of year for Champagne toasts and Champagne-filled celebrations (let’s be honest—Champagne is a year-round mood for us :)).

Explore our current lineup of bottles at the link in bio and today we’re spotlighting:
NV La Grande Vie Grand Cru, Avize which is crafted from 100% Chardonnay, this Champagne blends a 2017 base with 30% reserve wines from 2004–2012, all sourced from the chalky slopes of Avize Grand Cru. Aged 36+ months on the lees and finished with 3 g/L dosage, it’s a stunning expression of purity and depth.

La Rogerie | Thatcher’s Imports

The dynamic duo of Justine and François at continue to redefine what grower Champagne can be. And their vision doesn’t stop there — in Alsace, they’ve turned their attention to Riesling, approaching the grape with the same precision and sensitivity they bring to Champagne.
We recently popped a bottle, of the 2020 Champ Boutin and it’s nothing short of singular and beautiful — brimming with energy, layered with texture, and a reminder of why this domaine has become one of the most compelling voices in Champagne.

We’re excited to have these wines back in stock! Available now for CA wholesale and retail, contact .kah and to learn more or gain access.

WongAmat | Thatcher’s Imports

The third release of WongAmat from Jan Raumland is about to land in California & New York

The last two years, we have seen two incredible and polar opposite vintages from WongAmat, both of which showed Jan’s passion, knowledge, and love for wine. The production is quite small, so it feels sometimes like they are scarce on our website or in our rolodex to share, as they come and go so quickly. But this certainly doesn’t mean we forget about them. Quite the opposite, we kind of sit here (annoyed) that we don’t have any in stock to share, awaiting the next vintage.

Their Pinots are always sitting on the table with great Burgundies, the cab franc is a favorite of sommeliers and industry people... it’s a producer that we speak about the quality, and the actual wine that is in the glass, over talking about “oh this is good German Pinot.”

Private offers are going out now and these will be available for retail soon, so keep an eye out!

We’re excited to introduce a new member to the Thatcher’s Wine team, Hannah Williams! She leads East Coast Sales for Thatcher’s Imports & Thatcher’s Wine, bringing her deep love of wine and hospitality to New York’s dynamic restaurant scene. With a focus on expanding wholesale partnerships and private client sales, she’s passionate about connecting top establishments with Thatcher’s exceptional wines—and sharing the unique stories behind each bottle.

Currently pursuing her Master Sommelier Diploma, Hannah’s dedication to continuous learning is evident. When she’s not immersed in flashcards and vineyard maps, she’s likely enjoying her favorite grower Champagne—ideally with her husband cooking and their spirited dog, Dujac, by her side. In Hannah’s words, “I love to see a team composed of former fine dining Sommeliers and Beverage Directors from Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide. While my experience has been rooted in the dining room, I believe hospitality extends far beyond the walls of a restaurant. Whether it’s helping other programs discover their next favorite producers to feature in wine pairings, earning the trust of private clients to curate their cellars, or fostering meaningful connections between growers and consumers, the essence of hospitality lies in creating memorable experiences and genuine relationships. I am excited to bring this perspective to a broader stage. “ Her philosophy? “Selosse, Selosse, Selosse.” You can read more about Hannah’s story at the link in bio.

Philine Isabelle & Thatcher’s Wine Explore Biodynamics & Organics

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of speaking with Philine Isabelle ._agr._philine_isabelle about her thoughts on organics and biodynamics—a topic she’s deeply passionate about. With more and more consumers curious about sustainability in wine, we loved diving into this conversation to explore how these practices shape the vineyards and the wines we enjoy.

Browse through the slides and take a look at the blog for more details that is linked in bio!
