It has been a whirlwind, since the Sinlahekin fire started. With so much devastation, we try looking for the positives. We still have our house, there will be morel mushrooms galore next year, we have met so many hardworking and kind people from all over the WORLD, and the support we’ve gotten from all that come in will never be forgotten..truly. The line can be long, but you’ve all been so patient with us..we appreciate it SO very much. We are grateful for all of you!!

Several evacuation zones have been downgraded today on the Sinlahekin Fire. This includes the community of Loomis, which went from Level 3 to Level 2.

As you all know, it has been absolutely crazy..EVERYWHERE. Each day brings new devastation. I was leery to post that we have fire shirts available, but I see the firefighters come in and they are PROUD of the work they have done, as they should be!!! It’s INCREDIBLE to see the locals that just jump in. Tonight was the first night that I was able to see the true devastation at our house, to really see the photos. This is my son..a photo that Jarvis took and I’m seeing it for the first time tonight. I am SO thankful, for so many people…♥️♥️

We want to send out a huuuuge thank you to all of the firefighters.. near and far.
We also want to recognize our local Highlands 20 crew. They have been away fighting the Kaiser fire, but arrived back at home base this morning at 2am to help tackle the Sinlahekin fire. It was a pleasant surprise to see their faces this morning, to say the least!! They hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you for protecting our lands and homes. It’s a big, big job and we appreciate it beyond words.
