We did however receive a reason why they are in and out of service from Brightspeed Telephone.
Below in the photo is the answer I received when I inquired about why this keeps happening.
Hopefully soon this will be all over and we will have great service.

From your cell phone, google,
Friends & Family Market.
When it pulls up, click on “call” and it will give you a new number to call us with.
Each persons phone will pull up a different number.
Use that number to call us with.

We are very excited to finally be opening on February 1st at 5:30am. Looking forward to seeing everyone once again. So here is a sneak peak of some of what’s inside.
We now carry a huge variety of plumbing, electrical, nuts & bolts and just about anything you may need. Including lots of grocery items, fresh produce, Eunice Superette meats & boudin, sausage, pork steaks, etc.

We even added a few bistro tables in the dinning room that have usb charging ports to charge you phones or tablets while you enjoy your meal.

We are very excited to share with everyone that we will be reopening the store on Monday, February 1st.
Within the next week ahead, we will post a few pictures of the interior to give everyone a sneak peak of what it looks like. Can’t wait to see everyone!!!!

All of our pumps are now working for “pay at the pump” with credit or debit card.
You can also put Diesel if you have the ExxonMobil app downloaded on your phone and set up your account.

Just wanted to share with everyone that we now have 2 of our gas pumps back up and working. So everyone can put fuel with their credit/debit card or with the Exxon Mobil App.

Also we are finally getting repairs finished up and are now beginning the restocking process.
We are excited to share that we will now have hardware, plumbing and fishing supplies stocked. We look forward to a great and exciting year ahead. I’m sure we could all agree 2021 has to be a much better year. We have lots of new things we are bringing in and more new things to come ahead.

So get ready for January 2021. We are planning on reopening somewhere around the middle of the month. And you will be in total shock and dismay when you walk into the store for the first time.
What Hurricane Laura tried to destroy, God has rebuilt. And we are better than we were before. Thank you Lord for your faithfulness!!!

We look forward to seeing everyone again.

And now it begins......
The clean up and rebuilding process. We sustained a substantial amount of damage to our roof which caused flooding inside the store and in turn caused lots of issues. From the ceiling to shelving and everything in between. We are doing our best to get things done as quickly as we can so we can reopen for our community.
Everyone is in our prayers during this hard and trying time. Even though there has been lots of loss and damage, we are a strong community. We will rebuild and recover. We know how to pull together and help each other out. And most of all, God will get us through this and we will be stronger and better than we were before!!!

We are very proud to announce the winner of our "Giving Back" scholarship. Participating students were to write an essay on what they like about our community and ways of improving our community. As we were impressed with all essays we received, we had one special young lady’s essay that stood out among the rest. All employees of Friends & Family Market are to read and cast their vote on who’s essay they were impressed with the most. And we are excited to say Hallie Guidry has won the "Giving Back" scholarship. Congratulations Hallie!!! We are excited for you and your new journey in life. Always, put God first in your life and he will direct your path!!!

Here we go again with CenturyLink telephone service. We have been having issues again with the telephone service being down. If you are trying to reach us and you get a busy signal or other weird noises it is because of CenturyLinks Service. For the last couple weeks at least 4 times out of the week the phone lines are down out here. It’s been happening way to often. So we apologize for your inconvenience, but it is out of our control. Hopefully the repairs and upgrades they are doing in the area get done quickly.
