"Look for the helpers". ❤
- Mister Rogers
It's difficult to find the words to say in response to the tragedy that has unfolded in the Hill Country over the past few days, we've been struggling with what to say, with what we even could say, and there was really only one thing we knew we could say with certainty - THANK YOU to the responders. THANK YOU to the firefighters, police, paramedics, people working all sorts of jobs & federal agencies, locals, people from across the region, from across the state, from across state lines, even from across the border, who turned up and faced the unknown and the unthinkable in evacuation, and then rescue, and then recovery efforts for a grieving community. THANK YOU for showing us what it is to serve a greater cause, what it is to be a part of a community, of a state, of a nation- what it is to show up for your fellow man at your own risk.
THANK YOU.
We are forever indebted to, and in awe of, y'all for all that you do, have done, and continue to do.
God bless you, and God bless America. 🇺🇸
