Update on Our Journey Since Closing Little Town Brews

Over the past few months, we’ve taken some much needed time to relax and gear up for the winter season. That doesn’t mean we’ve slowed down, quite the opposite! We’ve stayed busy with several large infrastructure projects, as well as filling the vacancy in the space we once called home.

If you’ve walked down Main Street lately, you may have noticed the paper covering the windows at 42 Main, the coolers heading off to their new home at Whitefield Market, or even Art shuffling signs around and finally taking down the Little Town Brews sign. All signs of progress, change is good for everyone.

We’re excited to share that our newest tenant at 42 Main is Refresh Boutique! Refresh Boutique is an upscale resale clothing boutique dedicated to giving fashion and home goods a second life. Don’t let the word “resale” fool you—inside you’ll find high-quality pieces at reasonable prices, along with new clothing, gifts, and home décor. The owners have done an incredible job transforming the space to fit their vision while thoughtfully “refreshing” some of the fixtures and furniture from Little Town Brews. The speed and grace with which they pulled it all together has been amazing to watch.

Next time you’re on Main Street, grabbing food at JACK & FIN'S or a beer at Wildbloom Beer, we hope you’ll stop in and check out Refresh. We’re confident you won’t be disappointed.

And as for Barley & Nelson? Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about our two goofballs. They’re doing great! They definitely miss the daily routine of going to “work” and their walks around town, but they’re loving the eight inches of snow we received this past week and are already looking forward to more snow days ahead.

🥂Well, this is it. We’re truly astonished by how our amazing community showed up, purchasing a huge portion of our remaining inventory. Thank you! 💛

We still have a few items left, so we’ll be at the shop this Saturday from 12–5 PM for online order pickups and a final closeout sale!

Everything left in the shop will be 50% off, way below cost! We still have a good amount of wine, hot sauce, and non-alcoholic brews available, so come stock up while you can.

Today marks our last full day at Little Town Brews, the place we’ve proudly called “work” for the past five years. Though truthfully, it never really felt like work at all. Five years and two days ago, we turned the key, flipped the sign, and opened our doors on Main Street for the very first time. It feels like only yesterday, yet here we are, wondering where the time has gone.

They say, “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” That couldn’t have been more true for us. Each morning, we looked forward to the drive into town, eager for the unknown joys and surprises the day would bring. Was it a delivery of new beers ready to be inventoried, priced, and placed in the cooler? Was it a familiar face walking through the door on their day off, just to catch up and share a smile? Or maybe it was one of those busy weekends where time flew by in a blur of laughter, conversation, and clinking bottles.

The memories we carry are countless — the regulars who made us part of their routines, the friendships formed over a shared love of craft beer, the kids who ran straight past us to greet Barley, and later Nelson, who quickly became the true stars of the shop. Our four-legged companions weren’t just “shop dogs,” they were family to so many, offering tail wags and comfort on slow days and busy ones alike.

As we close this chapter, we’ve asked ourselves, “Would we do it all again?” The answer is simple: absolutely, without hesitation. Little Town Brews brought us to the mountains, to a community unlike any other, and gave us a home in more ways than one. It gave us purpose, joy, and connection. And most of all, it gave us all of you.

For that, we are endlessly grateful. Thank you for being part of our story.

WOW! The past few weeks have been nothing short of amazing and emotional. We are absolutely blown away by the outpouring of love and support. From the kind words, handwritten notes, best wishes, and heartfelt phone calls. This community has shown us a level of care we’ve never experienced before. This is exactly why we chose to settle here and build something meaningful. ❤️

After Five Amazing Years, It’s Time to Say Goodbye

With gratitude and heavy hearts, we share that Little Town Brews will be closing. Our anticipated final day is TBD but we plan for mid to late September.

For the past five years, we’ve had the privilege of serving this community—sharing great beer, countless conversations, and memories we’ll never forget. What began as a simple goal—to bring craft beer to the people—became so much more. We gained friendships, laughter, and support that has meant the world to us.

Thank you to everyone who walked through our doors, grabbed singles, talked beer and breweries, or stopped in just to say hi to Barley and Nelson. Your encouragement and warm smiles kept us going every single day.

Why now?
The beer industry has changed. Saturation, declining demand, and competition from other alcohol categories have made the past few years difficult. Accessibility to great beer and wine is now nearly everywhere, and as times evolve, so must we.

What’s next?
After five years of little rest, we’re taking the coming months to recharge and reflect. We have ideas brewing (pun intended 😉), so who knows what the future may hold!

*️⃣ Gift Cards – Please use any remaining cards soon. (Online and in person) If you cannot, email us with the card code for reimbursement.

*️⃣ Beer & Wine – We won’t be bringing in new product except by special request for full cases. Orders can still be placed before we close.

*️⃣ Kegs – Please return empties for your deposit. After we close, we’ll share a location where deposits can be processed.

*️⃣ The Space – We plan to lease the Main Street location. If you know someone interested, please send them our way.

Though this chapter closes, the spirit of what we built in Littleton will always live on. 🍻
