After 28 incredible years, Capers Restaurant will close its doors for the final time on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Since opening in 1997, Capers has been a cherished part of the Little Rock food and wine scene, known for its exceptional dining experience and dedication to quality.
Under the leadership of Mary Beth Ringgold, Capers earned accolades like "Best Outside Dining" and "Best Wine List," with a 14-year streak as a recipient of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. Capers built a loyal following that appreciated its commitment to excellence.
In 2019, Dan Kovach, former general manager of Cajun’s Wharf, took over as owner and operator of Copper Grill. After navigating the challenges of the pandemic, Dan took on the additional responsibility of Capers in 2021, continuing its legacy while ushering in a new era.
"I’ve had the honor of working with Mary Beth for over 20 years, and taking the reins of Capers was both a privilege and a responsibility I took to heart," said Dan Kovach. "Closing Capers is bittersweet, but we’re proud of the Caper's legacy and thankful for our loyal guests and dedicated team. While we close this chapter, we look forward to new opportunities while honoring our roots."
