Frey Ranch whiskey has landed in our market and is now available at Glen Ellyn!

Frey Ranch has been making waves for a few years now and with good reason - their whiskey is meticulously cultivated from entirely their own grains that they grow on their property!

With over 165 years of farming history, the Frey Ranch family is one of the only distilleries to sustainably grow 100% of their whiskey grains on site, specifically for making these one of a kind whiskeys! 🌾🌾🌾

🥃Their Bourbon is a four grain 5 year old whiskey that is crushable yet complex with oak and citrus on the nose followed by vanilla, caramel, banana chips and hay on the palate. The mashbill is mad who of non-GMO corn, winter cereal rye, winter wheat and two row barley (malted on site!). Superb!

🥃Their Rye is 100% Winter wheat rye grain and is bottled in bond at a minimum of 5 years old. Grapefruit zest, almond and honey on the nose with ginger, cacao, black pepper and caramel on the palate. Lingering velvety and chocolatey finish 🤤. Smooth enough to sip, spicy enough to stand up in a cocktail, perfect for your home bar and next sip!

TODAY TODAY TODAY! Come and grab a VERY special bottle from either store at 10am - the FIRST ILLINOIS retail barrel pick from Cedar Ridge! It is an OUTSTANDING Añejo tequila finished American single malt that has to be tried to be believed! 🤯

🎟️We ALSO are starting our latest allocated bottle raffle! Get 2 raffle entries with every barrel pick purchased plus one raffle ticket for every $50 spent on whiskey!🎟️ Runs through March 31st!

An elite group of 16 of us (see @ tags!) trucked out to Iowa in November to meet with Murphy and be utterly hypnotized by all the awesome things this distillery is doing! We took part in what they call the Quintessential experience, an awesome engaging blending session where we chose 6 different whiskeys finished in a variety of casks and blend them to our specs. So fun! THEN the floodgates opened and we tried an endless stream of delicious barrels that Murphy has aging in his rickhouse (see wall o' barrels in pic)! We had it narrowed down to 3 barrels and finally chose this Añejo cask finished perfection!

It has been finishing in the Añejo tequila cask for an astounding 10 months (‼️) and picked up some incredibly unique special notes and nuances! Like we said, it has to be tasted to be believed!

👃Nose👃 ~ Citrus 🍊, succulent agave, bready malt, variety of island fruit 🍍🍌, plantain, apricots, long silky legs 👀

👅Palate👅 ~ white chocolate, fresh roasted agave, Rich dark honey with clove, peppercorn, apples, toasty oak, eucalyptus, jasmine, nice hint of mezcal-esque smoke.

🏁Finish🏁 ~ sweet to***co, sage, spicy lemon 🍋, long, syrupy yet zesty. Tongue-tingling super long finish that lasts several impressive minutes! 🤤🤤🤤

We'll be releasing this GEM TODAY at 10am! We strive to bring you off the beaten path things and are SO excited and enthused about this barrel (and everything else Cedar Ridge is doing!).

Stop into the Glen Ellyn store and see what's dropping! (We're reposting this one because we posted this just as a weird hail and electrical storm was hitting on Wednesday!)

🥃Old Louisville whiskeys ~ We got a restock and now have added the 8yr Single Barrel Bourbon to the mix. We're hearing from everyone that that Toasted Rye is crazy!

🥃Wyatt Earp Hazmat ~ We squeezed one more case out of the distributor and now it is GONE! OVER 160 PROOF 13 YEAR JUICE! Super cool ornate bottle too 💥

💥Elijah Craig Toasted Rye ~ Our friends at Heaven Hill dropped this one on us - their already great rye whiskey matured in a toasted barrel to add some sweet oak complexity to the mix!

💥Knob Creek 12yr ~ Back in store.....for now!

TOMORROW, SATURDAY, come and grab a VERY special bottle from either store at 10am - the FIRST ILLINOIS retail barrel pick from Cedar Ridge! It is an OUTSTANDING Añejo tequila finished American single malt that has to be tried to be believed! 🤯 We had our Masterclass last night featuring Cesar Ridge's Master Distillery Murphy Quint and the pick was a HUGE hit!

An elite group of 16 of us (see @ tags!) trucked out to Iowa in November to meet with Murphy and be utterly hypnotized by all the awesome things this distillery is doing! We took part in what they call the Quintessential experience, an awesome engaging blending session where we chose 6 different whiskeys finished in a variety of casks and blend them to our specs. 🥃Redwood Empire Van Suzen Rye ~ a great representation of artisanal distilling! It has a larger than normal percentage of malted barley, adding complexity and depth.

🥃Cedar Ridge Quintessential Wine Club ~ The latest Quintessential offering is finally here from what's becoming easily one of our favorite distilleries! Check out what's in this bonkers single malt blend! Single Malt finished in Amontillado, tokaji, and moscatel barrels, then blended with roasted malt and finished in Pinot Noir casks! WHEW! 🔥JOKERS BLUFF BOURBON DECANTER ~ We saw these and HAD to have them. These decanters are so cool, great item for your back bar!

🔥RED SPOT & GOLD SPOT Irish whiskeys ~ We have the crown jewels of the "Spots" on hand! The Gold is a 13yr that is aged for years in Bourbon, Sherry butts, Port pipes and Bordeaux wine casks! The Red Spot is a 15yr old matured entirely in Bourbon casks, Spanish sherry butts and Sicilian Marsala wine casks! 🥵
